I will give you a list of 6 different plants that are very easy to grow for beginners and anyone else who may need a low light live plant for their aquarium.

NO. 1

ANUBIAS NANA

This is a very easy to grow live plant and wonderful for your African Dwarf Frog as they will be able to find good hiding places.

Anubias Nana requires low lighting and you can place it in the foreground.
Mature plants will flower in your aquarium. Beware of algae growth which may occur with too much light.

NO. 2

CONGENSIS ANUBIAS ‘CONGENSIS’

Another live plant that’s very easy to grow. Requires low light and can be placed anywhere in your tank.

NO. 3

ANUBIAS ‘GRACILIS’

This plant grows in low light, and can be placed anywhere in your tank. It grows very big so I would recommend that you use this plant only if you have a large tank.

NO. 4

ANUBIAS ‘GIGANTE’

The name tells you that this plant also grow very big. You can use it in a large aquarium as a backdrop. It is very easy to grow, also in low light.

NO. 5

ANUBIAS ‘AFZELLI’

You can place this plant anywhere in your tank. It is a slow grower and is prone to algae. It is easy to grow in low light.

NO.6

ANUBIAS ‘BARTERI’

Do not place this plant in the substrate, as with most of the others. Tie them to a smooth rock or driftwood. They need low light, are very easy to grow and can be placed in the middle of your tank.

All of the above plants are very easy to grow, all in low light and will greatly enhance the appearance of your aquarium.

Your Siamese fighting fish/ Betta fish, African Dwarf Frog and Cory Catfish will thrive in any of these live plants.
